The only view more appealing than the Gold Coast skyline from luxury beachside development SEA Palm Beach is the finish to the top level of its façade.
With developers BluePoint Property and architects Archidiom Design having meticulously blended modern urban architecture with liveable coastal design, they went in search of a paint and render manufacturer that could deliver a wood-grained finish appearance on a concrete slab created through.
With a hard-earned reputation for specifying systems and not just products, Baxta was the obvious choice.
A team of experts went to work creating the desired substrate appearance by constructing timber paling on top of the formwork and then pouring the concrete on top of it. The formwork was then stripped to leave the foundation for the Baxta system to bring out the wood-grain appearance.
The Baxta system applied for SEA Palm Beach featured top-of-the-range products such as Baxta Concrete Primer, Baxta CovaCoat Primer, Baxta Stain Merbau and Baxta Stain Golden Cedar.
