Baxta is ecstatic to be providing paint and render products and systems for the nearly-completed Bela by Mosaic project in Mermaid Beach, Queensland!
Bela by Mosaic brings the beach to you, focusing on delivering an unsurpassed luxurious residential experience with highly coveted views of the coastline, hinterland and mountain range.
This unique design aesthetic sets a new benchmark for luxurious living, with high ceilings and full height windows and doors framing the breathtaking Mermaid Beach.
Baxta General Manager, Bob Matthews, explained this project was a new experience for Baxta.
“This was the first time we were awarded a project by these developers and we had a huge opportunity to showcase our systems on this project,” he said.
From interior ceilings, walls, doors and skirting to exterior walls, concrete soffits and slab edges, Baxta helped to bring together the stunning 115 apartments stretched across 26 levels and an unparalleled level of five-star luxury amenities for this incredible project.
As the door frames were pre-primed metal and close to the ocean, we specified an epoxy system that allows for strong product adhesion. This was achieved using one coat of Epinamel DTM 985 and two coats of Poly U 630.
The soffits also required an epoxy system to protect the finish from rust spotting, this system consisted of one coat of Epinamel DTM 985, one coat of Baxta CovaCoat Primer and two coats of Baxta Maxicap Elastomeric.
The interior foyer columns were brought to a Level 1 finish, meaning all joints and interior angles have tape embedded in the joint compound, using Baxta Concrete Patch and finish with Baxta Elements.
With project completion just around the corner in July 2021, the unveiling of this flagship build is set to be a stunning addition to the Gold Coast region.
